“David creates a caring poignant world from small moments and things he loves. He often makes overlooked details and the transition of time significant by imbuing them with wistfulness and yearning. His poetry touches on the large, the unfathomable, and the everyday so it has a rightful place in our world.”

“David's poems are rigorously crafted, worked-for poems built on a close attention to the image, to the world. & when they sing, they sing genuinely of the heart's condition & move us towards the most tender, quiet revelations.”
